Creamy Tomatillo Ranch Dressing
Ingredients
- 1 (1 oz.) packet original Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup buttermilk (use ½ cup for a thicker dressing)
- 2 tomatillos, husked and diced
- ½ bunch fresh cilantro
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 1 jalapeño, stem removed
Directions
- Remove the husks from the tomatillos and rinse well. Wash the cilantro and prepare the garlic and jalapeño. For a milder dressing, remove the jalapeño seeds and membranes.
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust as desired. Add more buttermilk to thin it, lime juice for extra tang, or jalapeño for more heat.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors come together. Stir well before serving.
Serve it on: Salads, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, or as a dip for fresh veggies. The recipe makes about 16 servings and keeps refrigerated for up to 5 days.
